‘It’ Remake Finds Its Pennywise

Perhaps one of the biggest talking points for the It remakes has been who they would get to play Pennywise.  Whoever they would choose would have some large shoes to fill left by Tim Curry in the 1990 made for television adaptation.

It has been announced that the role has been cast, going to Will Poulter (The Maze Runner, We’re the Miller’s).  His work in the upcoming The Revenant caught the studio’s attention and it is said that his audition for Pennywise sealed the deal.

Cary Fukunaga to Direct “It” Remake

True Detective director Cary Fukunaga has been announced as the director of the Stephen King’s It remake.  The film is set to shoot next summer, so we still have a while til it hits theaters. But Stephen King has given his blessing, saying ‘Go with God, please! This is the version the studio should make’.  The 1990  TV miniseries was wonderful, with Tim Curry making an amazing Pennywise, but I am excited to see It get the big screen treatment it deserves.  What do you think?

Cenobites Rejoice! Hellraiser Reboot

For years there have been talk of a remake of the Hellraiser series.  Freddy, Jason, Leatherface and Michael all got their remakes.  Chucky’s is in the works, and now, Pinhead will be joining the Horror classics that are getting a reboot.  Dimension Films have been releasing several direct to video sequels over the past decade, keeping the rights to the Hellraiser series, and (barely) keeping the series in the mind of the fans.  But this may have all been worth it, as the new reboot will be written/directed by Clive Barker.  Will we finally get another good Hellraiser film?  Tell me what you think below.
